What we keep, why we keep it, and how to get rid of it. Written under the Nigeria Data Protection Act.
What we hold
- Your name, email address and phone number.
- The delivery addresses you save, and the ones you type at checkout.
- Your orders, and what was in them.
- Things you save for later.
- Basket contents, so a basket survives closing the tab.
- The times you signed in, and failed attempts, so we can spot somebody guessing.
We do not hold your card details. Paystack takes the payment and we never see the number.
Why
To take your order, deliver it, tell you where it is, and answer you when you write in. We keep order records because we have to be able to honour a warranty and account for what we sold.
We email you about your orders because you have bought something and need to know what is happening to it. If you left a basket without checking out we may send one reminder, and one only. Anything else is optional and every message carries a link to stop it.
Who else sees it
- Paystack, to take the payment.
- The courier delivering to you, who gets the name, address and phone number.
- Our email provider, to send you the messages above.
We do not sell your details, and we do not pass them to anybody for their own marketing.
The course site
cim-edge.com and store.cim-edge.com keep separate accounts and separate sign-ins. If you choose to join your membership to your shop account, we record which membership it is, and that link is used for one thing only: working out whether you get the member price.
How long
Order records for six years, because tax and warranty both need them. Baskets are cleared after ninety days. Sign-in attempt records after thirty days. Everything else lasts as long as your account does.
Your rights
Ask us for a copy of what we hold, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete your account. Email store@cim-edge.com and we will do it within thirty days. Deleting an account does not delete an order record we are required to keep, and we will tell you which those are.
Cookies
Two that matter. One remembers your basket. One keeps you signed in. Neither follows you anywhere else and we do not run advertising trackers on this shop.
